Plot wines Garneau Block natural wines

Plot Wines is a small winery in the Okanagan Valley created by vigneron Kevin Rossion, and creative Adam Kereliuk. The name is a nod to their approach of sourcing an ever-changing roster of fruit from small plots of land – from their neighbours and partner growers across the valley. Using minimal intervention and a low-tech approach, their wines are a reflection of where they come from and have been guided, not forced, to their final state.

Kevin and Adam met DJ'ing parties in a giant igloo at Apex Mountain Resort over 10 years ago. They quickly became friends, and when Kevin started making wine in his basement, he gave Adam a couple of mysterious unlabeled bottles. Adam took them home wondering to himself if they could possibly be any good. Well, they were great. A few years later when Kevin told Adam he wanted to start making his own wine for real, Adam jumped at the opportunity to team up and design the brand.

Many small wineries source grapes on the open market from suppliers across the valley - but Plot celebrates this practice. By trade, Kevin is a viticulturist / vineyard manager and has great relationships with many trusted growers, giving us access to small lots of unique, quality grapes from different plots of land in the South Okanangan.

As with all our producers, we will be donating part of the proceeds from sales to a non-profit close to our heart. For Plot Wines, we have chosen to donate to the Mustard Seed. Please check them out.

Plot Wines Haze Garneau Block

Haze

42% Kerner, 30% Muscat, 18% Pinot Blanc, 10% Sauvignon Blanc

12.5% ABV

264 cases made

Vinification method: Haze is an ever changing blend, this year featuring Kerner, a winter-hardy German hybrid bringing aromatics and bright acidity to the party. The other varieties were left on skins for 5-7 days, adding complexity, and texture. Wild fermented, and unfined and unfiltered to showcase their true expression. Cold-stabilized naturally by putting the wine outside with minimal amount of S02 just before bottling.

Tasting notes: Bright, dry, and hazy with notes of young, crunchy peach and green apple skin - flashbacks of zesty lime margaritas.

Plot Wines Cab Garneau Block

CAB

Cabernet Sauvignon

13.9% ABV

211 cases made

Vinification method: Coming from a single plot near Oliver, it spent 16 months in French oak of varying age: with some new + 2 year old barrels, and the rest in neutral. It has rested in bottle for a year prior to this release (March 2023). Cold-stabilized naturally by putting the wine outside with minimal amount of S02 just before bottling.

Tasting notes: A fresher take on Cab: it's bright, juicy, and dry with classic cab notes of dark fruit and earthy leather. The palate offers flavours of cooked fig and fennel seed with a soft baking spice finish. The tannins are refined, silky, and not overpowering - letting the grapes’ characteristics really shine through.

It's tasting fantastic now, but we think it will cellar well until 2027+
