Château des Antonins is located in a 13th century convent that was initially built for the monks of the order of Saint Antoine. The domaine is located in Pondaurat, on the left bank of the Garonne near the Graves appellation. After the French Revolution, the property passed into the Roquefeuil family, and in 1985, Geoffroy and Martine Roquefeuil took over this historic property and its vineyards. Their son Antoine now manages the vinery after a year-long trip abroad to New Zealand, he eventually decided to become a vigneron. In 2016, he returned home with a backpack (and without a warning to his surprised parents), and began working alongside his father to learn how to grow grapes and make wine.
The management of the vineyard is part of an environmental approach for a thoughtful and sustainable agriculture. The entire estate has obtained High Environmental Value Level 3 (HVE3) certification since the 2018 harvest.
As with all our producers, we will be donating part of the proceeds from sales to a non-profit close to our heart. For Domaine Duseigneur, we have chosen to donate to the Edmonton Cold Weather Animal Rescue Society. Please check them out.

This wine develops a beautiful complexity on the nose revealing aromas of black cherry and black currant with a toasted background with accents of blond tobacco, a great balance of tannins which bring a nice harmony.
Why does this bottle from Antonins stands out from the crowded ocean of red Bordeaux? It has a higher than usual proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, and is aged at the domaine for 3-4 years before release. Those qualities are often found in the flagship wines from more famous appellations, but Antonins invests the same time and care in their humble red, which makes it an amazing value and a consistent favorite.
